Why is my thought-life so very framed by everything I read, most of which is suggested to me by others: my husband's passions, my pastor's passions, whatever is "trending" on Yahoo or Facebook ...
Or else I randomly open up my Bible and let my thoughts wander about from there ...
I do not know what to think, what to decide, about the opinions that are so very strongly held by others. OMG, everybody I'm associated with has strongly-held opinions.
I can see everybody's point. Honestly ... I can.
Which makes me (in their humble ... um, I mean arrogant) opinions: pointless.
To be more explicit:
ReplyDeleteI love the church where my husband and I fellowship now every week, since August of last year: they are SO into the Bible. / I am so sick of this church: they are so dogmatic.
I love the church where I've worked as church secretary since August of 2001. They are so open-minded. / I am so sick of this church: they are so missing the point.
I love Facebook! I always know whatsup with my friends and family / I HATE facebook: Nobody ever really says anything of substance.
I love the internet: I can see the whole wide world, whenever I want to. / I hate the internet: I'd rather just be part of a small and local community (no, wait ...)

ReplyDeleteIn case you do not realize: the church where I fellowship and the church where I work, are diametrically opposed one to another. My bad.

ReplyDeleteOkay - I don't want either of you guys to "compromise." I just want you both to be reasonable and practical. And if either of you get too "het up," I want you to just go clean your bathroom sinks, or plant some tulips for next spring.

Right now with Dino's health church is not a option but will pick that up again in Spring God willing.
