23 Years in Six Lines

The First Marriage (Dec. 1972 to Feb. 1996)

There was a young woman who lived in a house;
And she wanted children more than did her spouse.

Her spouse had repented of vows he had made,
To God, and to her, and to bills marked "unpaid."

He did give her children, because she demanded,
And they and she both left his home empty-handed.
